For optimal performance, light and let burn for at least 30 minutes per inch of circumference.
Wood wicks behave differently from traditional cotton wicks. They burn through surface combustion (a glowing ember effect), which means that after lighting, the flame may sometimes appear smaller or transition into a gentle glowing ember rather than a strong visible flame. This is normal and part of how wood wicks function.
When lighting a wood wick candle, it is best to hold the flame to the wick for 5–10 seconds, similar to lighting a small fireplace. A long lighter works better than a match, and it may take a few attempts during the first uses to establish a stable burn.
If melted wax collects around the base of the wick, it can reduce oxygen flow and cause the wick to go out. In that case, simply pour off a small amount of the melted wax and relight the candle.
Once properly lit, the candle will continue burning normally, even if the flame remains softer and more subtle than with a cotton wick.

Recently purchased the vanilla lime candle with my last order to try and bring a nice smell into my salon and wow I love it. It makes the entire shop.smell delicious. The smell is amazing and it really permeates the whole room. It also has such a low flame it produces no smoke, you wouldn't know it was burning if you didn't see the melting wax which is very nice for a grooming space. I can't wait to try out some other smells!
